AUC14-OVL (Open Pore Violin Sunburst)

The AU series features very unique construction. Rather than being built with a separate top, sides, and back like most ukuleles, the body of the AU starts as a solid block of wood and is routed out, so that the back and sides are a single piece of wood. A top is then added to complete the body. This construction method gives these instruments a unique sound and brilliant playability. They also utilize distinctive features such as a Stereo Sound Port, Elevated Comfort Armrest, and Edgeless Comfort Heel.

The Ibanez AUC14-OVL is an acoustic ukulele with a concert body shape. It has a Sapele top that provides a warm, full tone, and solid paulownia back and sides that offer a well-balanced tone with superior note definition and added brightness. The ukulele also has an Okoume neck for greater playing comfort, a purpleheart fretboard, and a purpleheart double hole bridge that makes string changes easy.
