The SHURE MOTIV™ MV5-DIG-A is a compact digital condenser microphone designed to make high-quality audio recording simple and portable. Featuring a 16 mm electret condenser capsule and a cardioid pickup pattern, the MV5 is designed to capture clear, focused audio for vocals, instruments, podcasts, voice-over, video content and online communication.

The MV5 features three built-in DSP preset modes—Voice, Instrument and Flat. These presets automatically optimize gain, EQ, compression and limiting for different recording applications, allowing you to quickly configure the microphone without complicated external processing.

Its compact design, detachable desktop stand and standard tripod mounting make the MV5 suitable for home recording, mobile content creation and portable recording setups.

Direct iOS & Computer Recording

The MV5-DIG-A is designed for plug-and-play digital recording. Connect the microphone to a compatible computer using USB or connect directly to a compatible Lightning-equipped iOS device using the supplied Lightning cable.

The microphone is also compatible with the ShurePlus MOTIV app, providing additional control and recording capabilities on supported devices. Shure lists compatibility with most Windows/Mac computers and Lightning-equipped iOS devices, as well as compatible Android devices supporting USB Audio Class 2.0 and Micro-B OTG connectivity.

Real-Time Headphone Monitoring

For the cleanest monitoring experience, connect headphones directly to the microphone's 3.5 mm headphone output and monitor your recording in real time.

When recording with an iPhone or iPad, use the supplied Micro-B-to-Lightning cable and ensure your device supports the required Shure MOTIV app and connection.
