GRG140-SB (Sunburst)
Ibanez - Electric Guitar
The GRG140 is an RG series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 2012. It is part of the entry-level GIO line which is produced in Indonesia.
The GRG140 features a non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge and Ibanez pickups in an HSS configuration. The parts specifications where significantly changed in 2013 and again in 2015.
In mid-2017 a new fretboard material, treated New Zealand pine, replaced rosewood. For 2019 the T102 tremolo replaced the FAT-10 and the body was made of poplar. For 2020 the fretboard was changed to purpleheart.
T102 tremolo
The T102 bridge with 10.5mm string spacing allows easier picking across strings.
Maple neck
The Maple neck provides stability and bright tonal character.
Mono-unit output jack
The mono-unit output jack is made of solid, durable material and is a single piece to avoid unwanted movement and loosening of the jack, which leads to contact failure or disconnection. This innovation allows for long term playing enjoyment and minimal maintenance.
